Not All Technology ETFs Are Created Equal

Invest in Today's Largest and Fastest Growing Tech Companies

We offer three innovative technology solutions at TDAM. The TD Technology ETFs follow a custom index that were designed to provide investors with a pure technology exposure. Whether you are looking to get exposure to the big tech names of today, or the innovators of tomorrow, we have you covered.

  • The TD Global Technology Leaders Index ETF was designed for investors who want to maximize their participation in the technology trends of today + emerging themes of tomorrow. Investors can benefit from significant concentration in the Big Tech complex, such as FAANG1 as well as other technology leaders.

  • The TD Global Technology Innovators Index ETF was designed for investors who want to maximize their participation in the technology trends of the next decade. Instead of Big Tech, the largest holdings are dominated by quality companies still in the early to middle stages of their growth cycle.

  • The TD Global Technology Leaders CAD Hedged Index ETF was designed for investors looking for exposure to the technology trends of today + emerging themes of tomorrow and reduced foreign currency risk through the use of foreign exchange derivative instruments.

Why TD Technology ETFs?

  • Global Exposure

Gain exposure to companies from around the globe on the forefront of technology innovation.

  • Diversification

Both ETFs follow a custom index that are rebalanced quarterly and reviewed annually to help ensure that the ETFs capture the latest technology trends.

  • Low-Cost

A competitive management fee that can allow more of your money to be put to work.

Currency Hedging

Many Canadians investors will get exposure to international investments through a Canadian based exchange-traded fund (ETF) or mutual fund. The fund will typically be priced in CAD while the fund's underlying investments will be priced in other currencies, like the U.S. dollar. This creates potential foreign currency exposure risk—the value of an investment held by a fund will be affected by changes in the value of the currency in which the investment is denominated, relative to the base currency of the fund. TECX invests directly in TEC and attempts to minimize the effects of currency swings on the investment portfolio through a currency overlay strategy using derivatives.
